My teaching experience
Throughout my extensive teaching career, I have had the privilege of instructing students across various grade levels, ranging from pre-kindergarten to Grade 6. Initially, I began my journey as an English teacher, but as my expertise expanded, I transitioned into becoming a dedicated French immersion educator. Guiding students in mastering the French language became a significant area of focus and passion for me.
My passion
From the very beginning of my teaching profession, I possessed an appreciation for technology and its potential to elevate the learning experience. Integrating technology seamlessly into my lessons and thematic units became an enjoyable endeavor, allowing me to enhance engagement and facilitate deeper understanding among my students.
Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and virtual teaching, I witnessed firsthand how technology can transform the learning experience for my kindergarten learners. Through curated digital tools, interactive apps, and educational games, I was able to captivate my students and foster engagement, even through the virtual screen.Ā This propelled me to start creating my own interactive digital games for theme units and opening my online stores.
Why Beary Bears Learning?
I am glad you asked. When I first began my teaching journey, I wanted to create a warm and welcoming environment for my students. After exploring different themes, I settled on bears due to their comforting and playful nature. The bear theme, which began as a simple decor choice, transformed into a powerful tool for engagement and enrichment. Little did I know that this decision would have a profound impact on our classroom experience and into my future.
As the bear theme continued to inspire and enrich my own learning experiences, I felt a strong urge to extend its influence into this new realm of creativity. It motivated me to integrate it into various aspects of my work, infusing it with a sense of wonder and imagination. Beary Bears Learning is more than just a nameāit symbolizes a journey of inspiration and excitement. Now, through this website, I aspire to share my experiences, insights, and resources, aiming to ignite that same spark of joy and curiosity in a wider audience of readers.
